The Formalists is a public, read-only educational website. We have designed it to collect as little information about you as possible.

What we collect

Nothing personal. We do not require accounts, we do not ask for your name or email, and we do not run analytics, advertising, or third-party trackers on the site.

No cookies. The site does not set any cookies in your browser.

Server logs. Like most websites, our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser user-agent, requested URL, timestamp) for a short period for security and debugging purposes. These logs are not used to profile you or sold to anyone.

External resources

Some lesson pages load mathematical typesetting from MathJax, served via the jsDelivr public CDN. When your browser requests these files, the CDN provider sees your IP address. We do not control or share data with these providers beyond what is required to serve the script.
